What makes it art?

Learning these elements and principles will provide the framework for understanding art and how to use them to create your own. During this class we will study iconic works of art of both past and present that showcase the skillful use of these design elements. Analyzing these masterpieces will offer insight into how these elements were harnessed to create unforgettable compositions. Whether it's a brushstroke of a painter or a pixel on a screen, these elements continue to shape the world of art and design. Get creative with art projects and take home assignments that give a hands-on approach to learning about the building blocks of art.

This is a year long class, split into two semesters. Registration and $125 required for each semester. Art supplies included in the cost.
